Information and articles on this site aren’t given, and Melody Beattie isn’t offering, professional therapy to anyone.  This site is a relaxed environment where people in grief can reach out to others and receive information and support as laypeople and friends.

We also take no responsibility for postings that might get through our screening process before we can check them.  We’ll deal with any inappropriate postings as soon as we can.  Although we’ll try to respond to people’s comments and questions timely, we may not respond to each one.  Because of Melody’s writing schedule, she may not respond immediately to questions.  Sometimes we’ll field similar requests and questions  and respond to issues  that apply to the largest number of site guests.

Although we ask that others respect your confidentiality, we take no responsibility for the behaviors of other people.  If you post information here and don’t properly disguise yourself, we can’t be responsible for people who hear about posts on this site. We will do our best to check the behavior and postings to see that they comply  with our rules and requests.

This e-mail address is constantly protected from spam bots.   We have also hired an agency to monitor he site for viruses, hackers, and other unwanted threats.  Should the hired protection bots find a problem, they will immediately repair it and correct any leaks.

We’ll carry books we believe might be helpful and other gifts for grieving people in the site’s gift shop.  But we won’t pressure you to buy anything.  Even Melody’s book on grief is provided for your reading here for free.  There are no dues or fees for membership.  We may occasionally charge a small fee for a workshop or seminar but all activities sponsored by this site will be reasonably priced, and meet people’s budgetary needs.

As stated in the Privacy Policies, we will  not send  any E-mails, newsletters, or notices  that offer products for sale.  Occasionally, Melody may send an email with free information she believes may help, E-mails written from her heart. We  will not sell your names or any information about you to anyone, under any circumstances.  Melody will keep your information in a safe place known and available only to her to protect the privacy of each site guest.

It is of utmost importance to us that you are not harassed here by anyone to spend money, including by us.  It is also of primary importance that this site remains clean from viruses, spam, and anything that could harm your computer.  We want you to know that this site is safe and  when you come here you can let down your guard, be vulnerable, and relax.
