Love-ability – Day 2

July 18, 2017

I was in Bali helping a friend host a convention. He took me to his house. I visited with his wife and met his new baby. Before I left, he gave me a tour of his home. As I looked around his home I glanced at myself in a mirror. I felt a shock of horror, started to walk away, then spun back for another look.

“I can’t believe I look like that,” I said in utter disgust.

My friend paused, looked in the mirror, and said, “You can’t believe how much time I spend staring in that thing, wishing I looked different too.”

Take a look in the mirror. If you don’t like what you see, take another look. This time try seeing with the eyes of love.

Application: Whenever we look in the mirror and wonder how anyone could possibly ever love us or when that might happen, it’s time to work on our love-ability.
