Be Not Afraid – Day 4

December 06, 2018

I was driving to a situation that could be ugly. I called a friend. “Please talk to me,” I said. “I’m having an anxiety attack. I can hardly breathe.”

“I didn’t know you had anxiety attacks,” she said.

“Sure I do,” I said. “Doesn’t everyone feel afraid?”

Inventory Focus: What is the bravest thing you’ve ever done? Remember, bravery isn’t the absence of fear. Bravery is when you act even though you feel afraid. Maybe you could be a little more tolerant of others and yourself. Instead of proclaiming, “No fear,” you can be vulnerable enough to tell yourself and someone else what frightens you.
