Patience – Day 3
November 08, 2017
We may wait and wait for life to get better, but in that instance, patience isn’t the problem. Doing something differently—making changes in ourselves—is the issue at hand. We may wait and wait for someone else to change, but again, the value isn’t being patient. It’s letting go and changing ourselves.
It’s easy to get confused about when to practice patience and when to stop waiting for something that’s not going to happen. Or we may confuse being patient with not feeling our feelings. We can feel our feelings of impatience without turning them into impatient behaviors that hurt ourselves.
Challenge: The hardest thing about practicing patience is that practicing impatience feels so justified.
