Commitment – Day 4
May 09, 2019
After my son died, I began to lose my will to live. I sat down and wrote out an unconditional commitment to life. It was one of the most freeing things I did. I didn’t have to waver in my commitment from that moment on. I don’t know whether life cared or not about the agreement I made, but making that commitment helped me.
Inventory Focus: What commitments have you made so far in your life? How do you feel about them now? How did you feel when you made them? Do you have a problem with overcommitting yourself? Have you ever had to break a commitment? If you can’t fulfill your commitments, which sometimes happens, at least you can be responsible enough to tell someone you can’t.
