Blessings – Day 6
August 19, 2017
I walked into the Sanctuario de Chimayo, a small chapel in Chimayo, New Mexico, known throughout the world for its healing powers. When I walked through the front door, a priest approached me and gently put his hand on my forehead.
“Blessings,” he said. “God bless you, child.”
I started crying, the blessing felt that good in my heart.
It can be a spiritual treat—a nice surprise and a reward—to get a blessing from a clergyperson. But remember, we’ve all been vested with the power to bless.
Gratitude Focus: We can be grateful for every chance we get to bless others. We can be assured that those blessings will rain down equally on others and on us. While we’re at it, we can look around and be grateful for the blessings we already have.
